As I find myself with more free time I have decided in an effort to help my fellow bloggers to set up a blog candy store! I will update with any blog candy I find with as much detail as I can. I would like to know if you think this is a good idea!!

Gutted!!

Well things happen in threes they say and three horrible things have happened, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday!! So that's it no more!!

Monday I found out I was being made redundant. Three years with the company and out on the scrap heap..but refuse to get down and want to make something positive out of it.  Firstly, economising, well we knew for ages we would have to do it anyway so this is the sharp short shock we need.  Mark is so very supportive and I know we will get through this together.  Secondly, improve my crafting.  OK A lot of my new found spare time will be devoted to job hunting, butrather than sit and wallow I will try and improve my craft work.  Thirdly, give up smoking and improve my overall health. So there you have it.  I wont go into the oether things because they concern other people, but no one is hurt and no one died, and will work themselves out, I just didnt need that on top!

So...keep your fingers and toes crossed for us that we make it through..Thanks for listening XX (Food parcels gratefully accepted!)

Funky fairy challenge

Thought I would enter this for funky fairies challenge which this week is blue.  The blue swirl paper is from funky fairy as is the alpha spelling mum.  Image is coloured in copics.  Not very happy with the way it looks in the picture, the flowers look bluer in rl coloured them in with copics. Added a bit of bling...cos I can!!

Made this card for my niece whose birthday is on Thursday - used my copics - the few that I have at the moment!! the card is a lovely very small tartany purply colour with a matching vellum over the top finished of with a few embellies and an organza ribbon.

Im exhausted!

Just about finished the place names now just got some gems to stick on for that blingy effect! Ive still got loads of cards to make plus some images to stamp for folk plus I need to finish niece's scrapbook for her birthday on Thursday!!! Then, last night my lovely son rang to say can we feed him his GF and her 2 kiddies Sunday dinner today??? arrrrrggggghhhhhhhhh nothing like short notice...lol but so happy he is coming.   Ive also been doing slideshows, leaving comments and trying to organise things and Shell's and my challenge blog   that in itself feels like a full time job but I love it and am meeting some very lovely people along the way. So now...brekkie, blinging, tidy up and organise dinner then I can concentrate on my cards and stuff Im afraid they might just be sticking things on a piece of card type cards..LOL  hey ho that'll teach me for procrastinating.  Hope your Sundays are special XX

The book in me...

they say we all have a book inside us so I have decided to try and write one! I have the title sorted out.."Living with M.E.N. - what's your type"Quite catchy huh? For those of you who dont know me, I have an incurable disease (my doctors words...definately not mine) which is known as Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia, I am type 1. So far I think I have been lucky, only had to have my parathyroid glands removed, although "multiple" tumours have been found on and in my pancreas so watching and waiting to see what, if anything happens. My son who has not been lucky has had half of his pancreas removed as a result (and boy do I feel guilty...most folk give their kids a car, I give mine a syndrome!)

Anyway, as its a very rare syndrome, bit like rocking horse poo, I decided that I would try and write an informative, yet slightly tongue in cheek about it. Im posting this here as I think Id like a bit of encouragement...and where else could I get it??
