Remembering..

...all those people 7 years ago, who lost their lives in that dreadful attack in America. Remembering their bravery and sacrifice, those left behind and still mourning, those injured and still suffering, those who lost their homes and their livelihood, those who sat and watched, all over the world in shock and disbelief. Remembering the disruption and how things will never be the same again. Remembering those tall and graceful buildings that monopolised the city sky line. Remembering where I was and what I was doing on that fateful day. ...

My thoughts and prayers are with them all, and everyone else on this planet who is suffering and remembering.

Prismacolor Pencil and Customer Service

Do you remember last week I was having a whine about how my colouring in looks like next door neighbour's cat had had a hand in it? Well, a kindly soul recommended prismacolor pencils to me...I now have a box sitting at my side newly opened and looking pristine and gorgeous and I am so reluctant to use them as they look and smell so nice, anyhow, according to my many google searches, these are the " dogs doodahs" and will make my colouring look fabulous. I was given the email of a UK stockist and I have to say, if all you want is excellent customer service, then this is the chappy for you. I shall be trying them out when I get home (couldn't find a sharpener at work and my pen knife is blunt) and will report back. If anyone wants his email to ask any questions, prices, colour chart etc etc then email me reeve.paula@googlemail.com and Ill pass it on to you.

I shall (yeah yeah youve heard it all before...) load a few pics tonight of various bits n bobs, cards Ive made, scrap book pages, Nora and Wayne (pressie from Winnie...think about it!!) and my gorgeous delightful Godson Alfie who grows more delicious every day, until then , I best finish my sarnies and do some more reconciliation type thingies.

Later peeps

bootilishus blog candy

Hi

Chris over at Craftlings Cosy Corner has a mountain of gorgeous blog candy over at her blog
http://craftlingscosycorner.blogspot.com/ (wish I knew how to edit that bit!!) to celebrate 10,000 hits.

Anyhow, pop on over and check out her blog, a great blog I may say! Read all about her fantabulous news!!

Now then Chris has raised a very interesting argument (statement/opinion..call it what you will) regarding word verification. Now my stance is I HATE it. I can hardly read it and it takes up too much time, for very little reason, what do you all think?

I have cut and paste Chris' views for you, but do pop over and take a look, and follow a few simple instructions, you yourself, could be in with a chance of that delicious candy!!

ARGUMENTS AGAINST WORD VERIFICATION

Everyone will have their own view, but in my case, I regard the removal of word verification as a basic courtesy to my visitors who are kind enough to take the time to leave comments. Being aware of their comments through comment moderation, but not hindering them with word verification is the very least I can do to reciprocate their courtesy to me.The problem with word verification is that it takes too long. The characters are very often hard to decipher, and it’s frustrating when you get them wrong and have to re-enter the little suckers! So this campaign is on behalf of busy bloggers. Please spare a thought for the poor bloggers who work so hard at getting round as many blogs as possible to leave sprinkles of blessing and good vibes wherever they go. The terrible proliferation of this awful plague of word verification is a blight on their efforts to make the Land of Blog a cheerier place.
I think most people just have word verification switched on by default, not realising how easy it is to switch it off, and perhaps not realising how annoying it is for other bloggers. Either that, or they’re under the misapprehension that they will be bombarded with spam messages. This is not the case. I’ve had mine switched off now for three of the four months that I’ve been blogging, and have had two spam comments. The responses I’ve had from other bloggers to my earlier posts on this topic back this up. (You can see the comments in response to my previous post on this subject, HERE.)For safety’s sake, have comment moderation on for sure, but please consider canceling word verification on your blog. Maybe for a trial period, and see how you get on.Unless there are thousands of comments being left, comment moderation shouldn’t be too much of an issue for the blog owner, and other bloggers will also be more inclined to leave comments if they can see that you don’t use word verification. However, each to their own, and if you disagree with me, that’s cool. We can agree to differ and not visit each other’s blogs! lol ;o)
OK.. rant over. If you have read all the way to the end, thank you for putting up with it, and ~ obviously ~ do what you wish on your blogs, but I had to say something. I love to get around and leave comments, but word verification spoils the experience.
Of course, when I get my new job, all this will be academic to me, as I will then have a life, and I won't have time for much blog-hopping!! Not that blog-hoppers need to get a life.. Errr... think I'll stop digging now, before I get into REAL trouble!! lol ;o)Peace. :o)
EDIT: Interesting link HERE, provided by sharp-eyed Sammi (thank you, hun!).. Seems that 'Captcha' (the technique for identifying whether input is human or computer) is of little value, if any, anyway, as spammers have software that can break it. In which case, comment moderation is your only defence. Completely backs up my case.

ok what am I doing wrong?

ok you clever stampers!! Why is it I stamp the image ok, but colouring it in...whatever I use sakuras, h2o, water colours it looks absolute rubbish!! I follow all the tuts which look soooooo easy but I still manage to turn out tat. As for cutting out...well Ive tried close to line with scissors, craft knife and leaving a small teeny weeny border and its still looks ****. Any help would be gratefully appreciated!!!!

Help...dont need the stress!!! LOL

Hello, there's a stranger amongst us!

Hi Guys

Well its been a while, but to be honest Ive been feeling like **** and not felt up to doing anything much. Get my MRI results next week so hopefully it will be all good.

I have made a couple of cards I thought Id show you. They are not up to much either...lol

This is for my SIL and is made using papers from Nikky over at My Rubber Therapy Blog. Cut the shape using eazi box board and put an acetate jacket thingy round it. Its a bit wonky cos theres quite a lot of decoupage to try and scan!!

This is for Pat over the road, (I think she's 72 this year) just got to twiddle with it a bit as it looks a bit boring and put a sentiment on it. I scored and cut using the other scoring board, cant remember its name, then folded the pink around silver mirri, which of course looks black! Its a die cut decoupage cos I couldnt even get my head around cutting out!!

Just playing with pearlidoodles at the moment, and my cuttlebug, but Ive just lost all my energy so going to have a nap!

Before I go, we have a buddlia bush in our garden and earlier it was swarming with butterflies and Mark took some pics which I will try and show later.

And last but certainly not least, I will get Mark to take a pic of the fabulous pressie my dear friend Winnie sent to us. Thank you again Winnie and hope you are having the best time ever on holiday!!
